4-week live programme

COMPASS Training: Build Intuition. Work Live.

You already know the cards. The harder work is perceptual: staying with what is actually occurring in a spread, naming it cleanly, and trusting the thread before doubt or over-explanation takes over.

For readers who know something real is happening in their readings and want a clearer way to work with it.

COMPASS is structured live training in human discernment, intuitive structure, and grounded interpretation: the seven conditions of attention in The COMPASS Method™, taught so you can work more clearly with what you already sense, including in an AI-evolving world where the reading room still turns on perceptual judgment.

The programme welcomes experienced practitioners and naturally intuitive readers who want stronger structure, steadier confidence, and clearer language for client work (not a performance, and not theory for its own sake).

The COMPASS Method™ is Tides of Knowing's original interpretive framework. Training installs it; practice on The Deck Compass stabilises it.

Training and practice are not the same thing

Training installs the method. Practice stabilises it.

The COMPASS programme is where the framework is taught directly. The Deck Compass is where repeated live practice and reflection help the habits take root.

Students complete training and move directly into The Deck Compass with three months of platform access included at every tier.

Problem fit

If This Sounds Like You

  • You sense something real in the spread, but lack a framework for working with it step by step
  • You read naturally, but want more structure, consistency, and confidence from session to session
  • You know the meanings, yet your readings still feel uncertain or hard to articulate for clients
  • You start strong, then lose the thread halfway through
  • You over-explain instead of saying what you actually see
  • You feel intuitive hits, then immediately doubt them
  • You keep looking for the right meaning instead of trusting your read
  • You finish readings and think: that was not as clear as it could have been

This is not about collecting more card meanings. It is about practical intuitive development: how attention is held before interpretation, while it forms, and when the reading closes.

Learning outcomes

What You Will Learn

Most tarot training focuses on what the cards mean. COMPASS focuses on what the reader is doing with perception, language, and discernment.

  • Trust and articulate intuitive signal without collapsing into performance or guesswork
  • Strengthen discernment between projection, habit, and what the spread is actually doing
  • Stay with what is unfolding and communicate it clearly for clients and for yourself

Process

How It Works

This is a four-week, live, discussion-based programme in a deliberately small cohort so mentorship and direct feedback stay central.

  • Weeks one and two: The COMPASS Method™ and the seven conditions of attention, taught in alternate-day sessions
  • Weeks three and four: live practice and guided integration inside The Deck Compass platform
  • Maximum six participants per cohort
  • Minimum two participants to run
  • Live only, not replay-based

Intake moves in measured cycles so each group can stay coherent. The next intake window is approaching; registering interest simply starts a conversation when timing and fit are right.

Three participation levels.

Course · USD $697

Four weeks of live COMPASS training. Full platform onboarding to The Deck Compass. Three months of platform access included.

Course + Mentor Access · USD $997

Everything in Course, plus three observer sessions during your free platform period.

During an observer session, I join your live reading environment and watch you work with a real client. Afterwards I provide direct written or voice feedback. You choose when to invoke these sessions by booking through an open calendar. Sessions do not roll over.

This tier is for the reader who wants direct eyes on their practice, not just the method.

Course + Ongoing Mentorship · USD $1,497

Everything in Course + Mentor Access, plus one observer session per month for six months after the programme ends.

This is for the reader who is actively building a client practice and wants sustained development support over the period when new habits are being formed and tested in real readings.

After the three months

All tiers include three months of The Deck Compass at no additional cost.

After that, platform access continues at USD $39 per month.

About Leigh Spencer

I have been reading tarot and oracle cards for over 40 years. Before that, I spent 30 years as a journalist, broadcaster, and editor, trained to observe, interpret, and communicate clearly.

COMPASS grew out of systematically refining my own intuitive process in live work and teaching others to work more clearly with what they already sense.

COMPASS is built from real reading experience, and from seeing exactly where readers lose trust in themselves.

FAQ

Common Questions

What level do I need to be at?
You should already be reading tarot or oracle cards and understand the basics. This work is about improving how you read (structure, discernment, and language), not learning meanings from scratch.
How is this delivered?
COMPASS is a small, live programme with alternate-day sessions across four weeks, guided practice, and direct feedback. It is not pre-recorded or self-paced.
What if I am not confident yet?
That is exactly what this is designed for. The focus is on helping you trust what you are seeing and communicate it clearly, not on performing or being right.
What is The Deck Compass?
The Deck Compass is the practice platform built specifically around The COMPASS Method™. It is where you log readings, work with reflection prompts, and build the habit of structured intuitive practice over time. COMPASS training gives you the method. The Deck Compass gives you the environment to make it stick.
What does a mentor observer session involve?
I join your live reading environment and observe a session with a real client. Afterwards I provide written or voice feedback directly. You book these via open calendar at a time that suits both you and your client. Observer sessions are available to Mentor Access and Ongoing Mentorship tier students only.
How will session timing work in my time zone?
Live sessions run on Central Time (Mexico City). Where possible, two cohort windows are offered. Exact times are confirmed before enrolment opens. When you register interest, include your region and any timing constraints so we can place you thoughtfully.
I am in Australia or New Zealand. Can I join?
Current cohort windows are not designed for Australasia for live sessions. You are welcome to register interest if a future window might suit.
When does the next intake open?
June, July, and August cohorts are fully booked. Interest for the next cohort opens in August, with enrolment details shared once session times are set.
What happens after I register interest?
I read each submission personally. When enrolment opens for the next cohort, if the fit looks right, you will receive the details and a payment link to secure your place.
What if I am unsure?
You are welcome to reach out before registering interest if you want to check whether it is right for you.

Share a short note so I understand where your practice is now:

  • Your experience level with tarot or oracle cards
  • What is not working in your readings right now
  • Which tier you are considering
  • Your location and any timing constraints (sessions are on Central Time, Mexico City)

Registering interest does not obligate you to enrol. When the next cycle opens, I will follow up personally if the programme looks like a strong match.
